Accessory Review: Kontrol Freek - FPS Freeks

These are Kontrol Freek's FPS Freeks.  "Created with precision and accuracy in mind, the FPS Freek is our flagship accessory.  Fueled by our desire to win, the FPS Freek analog thumbstick extender was developed for the sole purpose of becoming better at first-person shooters.  The result has become somewhat of a legend.  Proven a winner time and time again, the FPS Freek has been praised by numerous professionals, enthusiasts and n00bs alike" is what it says on their website.  Now these pieces of plastic cost around 10 dollars and are shipped to you as they are not available in any store anywhere.  When reading reviews about them they are mostly good with reviews mostly upwards of 3 stars out of 5.  Although I did find a review that said they have terrible customer support and it takes more than 2 months to ship this is the only one I read. I do believe that they don't have very good customer support because they seem like a smaller company and seeing as how they don't have any product in stores I can't see it going very far.  Now there are a lot of reviews on youtube and pretty much every single one says that they love them after getting used to them.  There are a couple of big name youtubers who do use them and they apparently love them.  Now these work by extending the analog stick by a couple inches which in turn extends the length of your analog stick, increasing your range of motion, giving you 40% more linear distance from full stop to stop. This gives you more leverage and increased control.  I am about to purchase these online and will let you know how they work out.  I am very excited about getting them and will do a full review when i get them.  Game on.

Game Review: Bulletstorm

Bulletstorm is a 2011 first person shooter developed by People Can Fly and Epic Games.  EA Games published this game for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and Microsoft Windows.  It was released in February 22.

This game, laced with toilet humor and coming off as obnoxious and crass, emphasizes a sort of boldness and attitude thats been driven into the ground by countless shooters over the last few years.  The tagline, "kill with skill" and profanity induced combo names seem hollow.  Now although it seems like this in the beginning as you begin to play you realize that this is something special.  It has context while still being brash.  Bulletstorm is a violently charming popcorn shooter that plays very well with great design.

The premise is ridiculously original.  Bulletstorm is set in a space-faring future chock full of pirates and cliches.  Telling the story of Grayson Hunt, a former Confederate operative turned outlaw, Grayson has spent his time harassing his former commander and keeping company with his squad, also outlawed, Dead Echo.  His chance comes up when a random opportunity arises to strike the Confederacy, Grayson sets his ship on a suicide run and maroons himself as well as his crew on the alien planet Stygia.  Its up to him to get off the planet and find revenge and redemption he desperately wants.

Soon Grayson acquires the main weapon of the game, a Leash.  This Leash enables Grayson to grab enemies and throw them in the air in slow motion.  By combining shots to specific appendages and/or "bathing suit areas" with standing, sliding kicks or various environmental hazards you will soon discover that you get more points than just standard shots.

I would rate this as a 90/100 because the graphics are stunning, gameplay is fun and involving and I personally quite enjoy the multiplayer.

Game!

First Review: Tritton AX 180

hey everybody I am going to do my first review on my very loved headphones.  I have had these for about a year and I still love them.  They have helped me win multiple tournaments because of their two 40mm drivers that max out at 106db.  There are extremely easy to set up, requiring around 5 mins to set up and with a couple tweaks within your ps3's settings you can just unplug them and replug them in without quitting your game.  The only thing that I have noticed with them is that they are quite "heavy" on your ears and after about an hour and a half of gaming without a break they will start to hurt your ears.  But this is ok for me because I usually take a break around then anyways so its ok, but for people who go for 5 hour game binges without a break they could probably be quite a hassle.  The usb controls are very easy to use and within a couple days of using them you can remember where the controls are and can change your volume easily.  A good feature that is in most of Tritton's headphones is the fact that you can control game volume and chat volume separately.  This is great when people have their mic volume down so you can just turn them up to hear them.  I would give these headphones a 82/100 based on speakers, mic, comfortability, compatibility and ease of use.  I will be basing all further reviews on this system. Game on.
